SUSHI
Sushi is a Japanese dish made of vinegared rice (rice mixed with vinegar made from rice) and fish (mostly raw fish) or other seafood such as lobster and crab. Originally, the Japanese used only raw fish but to cater to the tastes of people from other countries, they started cooking the Sushi with other sea creatures.

Let us see 7 best Sushi restaurants in the U.S. that are well patronized by the Americans.

Hashiri

Address: 4 Mint Plaza, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA

Phone: +1 415-908-1919

Hashiri was opened only in 2016. In spite of highly priced food, it became very popular in San Francisco. I think it is because the restaurant also serves caviar, the Americans’ favorite snack. Another reason for the crowd is the quality of food. The restaurant uses only very high-quality ingredients and the choicest fish to make sushi. The fish is said to be imported from Japan’s Tsukiji fish market. ( I wonder why; I am sure the American coastline is long enough to yield the world’s best fish)

Hashiri also serves the ‘Sake’, the Japanese wine made from polished rice.

Kame Omakase, Las Vegas, Nevada

Address: 7331 WLake Mead Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89128

Phone: (702) 562-8686

kame

I was stunned by the presentation of it on their website. It’s better you have a personal look by visiting  their website.

You will feel like making a trip to Las Vegas at the earliest. But remember, you must reserve your table as I read they can seat only 8 guests and the 17-course dinner takes about 3 hours to complete. OMG! 17 dishes! One must fast before taking a seat there.

Sushi

Apart from the tastiest sushi, the meal includes lobster, hairy crabs, conch, and clams. Oh, yes, you get to eat caviar too and the whole dinner costs $165. Yeah, it is too much for one meal but I suppose, you don’t go there every other day.

Bamboo Sushi, Portland, Oregon

Address: 304 SE 28th Ave, Portland, OR 97214-1808

Phone: 503-232-5255

I come across Portland often whenever I search for the ‘best of..’ something or the other such as cozy bars, champagne joints and so on. It seems the citizens of Portland have refined taste. This Bamboo sushi is an Omakase type restaurant which means you let the chef or the owner of the place to suggest the menu for you. They do that mostly based on the seasonal availability of staple and other ingredients. Yeah, they know better and it is wise to listen to their recommendations.

For sushi lovers, there is an exclusive sushi_bar inside this sleek restaurant. A reviewer said that the Bamboo sushi serves rare fish varieties that most of the other sushi outlets don’t serve. For example, some of the fish that are used to make the juicy sushi roll are:Salmon Sushi

  • Ora King Salmon
  • Coho Salmon Nigiri
  • Tuna Nigiri
  • Amberjack Nigiri

In addition, the guests were also highly satisfied the range of sake that is served.

Cafe Sushi, Cambridge, Massachusetts

Address: 1105 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA 02138, USA Phone: +1 617-492-0434

Opening a Japanese restaurant in Cambridge is a wise business acumen because of the student population that is cosmopolitan plus they continue to change every academic year which brings a new influx of students from abroad.

SUSHI Restaurants

Being a sushi restaurant, it is easy for them to serve the sashimi too. The Café  is well stocked with red wine and a range of Japanese sake that is liked by the non-U.S. students.

Since the Café Sushi’s main customers are university students and academic staff, the foods are low priced and that attract outsiders too.

Kai Zan, Chicago, Illinois

Address: 2557 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60622, USA   Phone: +1 773-278-5776

I think Chicago is an ideal city to host a sushi restaurants in omakase style because I read somewhere that the local residents don’t easily decide on what to order in a restaurant.

The SUSHI Restaurant is always crowded that also serve Gyu Tongue Kushi-a beef kabab in Asian style, Fiesta Maki-a large plate of sushi decoratively presented, and oyster shooters. Their specialties are Orange Rush- a scallop (saltwater clams), escolar and maguro pearls,  green tea ice cream, and purple yam mochi ice cream. The last mentioned ice cream sounds exotic to me.

Kin Chan Sushi, Honolulu, Hawaii

Address: 500 Ala Moana Blvd # 5C, Honolulu, HI 96813, USA   Phone: +1 808-534-0088

Hawaii is already famous for the world’s best seafood; when the sushi joins the chain of local restaurants, the Hawaiian food scene is complete. More than the tourists to Hawaii, the locals seemed to frequent this exclusive Japanese restaurant that also serves the Japanese sake. I think the sake gives a sort of authenticity that it’s a Japanese restaurant only.

Sushi Nakazawa, SUSHI Restaurants in New York

Address: 23 Commerce St, New York, NY 10014, USA

Phone: +1 212-924-2212

This is New York city’s high-end omakase restaurant that the New Yorkers haunt for delicious and freshly cooked sushi. The restaurant is an expensive one as they import most of their ingredients. The meal is a 20-course one, among which, the sushi is served with great pride. The bar menu shows 7 types of Japanese tea,  and 11 different sake glasses and one or two varieties of Umeshu , a type of fruity liquor that smells sweet.
