It is also known as The Queen of Hills. If you are a nature lover going out for a vacation, then Darjeeling is a best holiday destination. This is mainly because of its climate, hills and mountains present there, its toy train.

Also we can witness a large number of different types of flowers and also the rare flowers like aceraceae, rubiaceae and a lot more. Not only plants you can even notice a wide variety of wildlife here for example- Barking Deer, Yellow Throated martens, Red Panda, Gorals, Snow Leopards, Siberian Tigers, Tibetan Wolf, Jackals and what not, There are lots and lots of plants and animals here. When we speak about a holiday destination in it or when we discuss about this place the first thing that brainstorms us is the variety of tea. Basically India is also famous for its tea, and that too in India, It is famous for its tea. Most of the foreign tourists definitely buy some tea here before they leave the city. Firstly in Darjeeling the tea was planted by Arthur Campbell in 1841. When you visit don’t forget to buy some Tea.

Darjeeling Himalayan Railway…

If you love traveling in trains, then you must definitely travel in the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway or the Toy Train. It is also considered as UNESCO World Heritage Site. This train runs from New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling.

Also the tourist trains run from Darjeeling to Ghum making it the India’s highest railway station. It is 2ft narrow gauge. If you travel on road in Darjeeling, then you must be prepared to be calm because these toy trains cross and move on roads where their track is laid.
