I wonder who divided our 7 continents! Whosoever was responsible, I am sure he was biased towards Asia because I think it has more tourist destinations than any other continent on the Earth. Hence the Asians are proud of their world’s best Tourist Destinations.
Not only the size of Asia which is the largest continent of all the seven continents but the diversity of the geography and thus the variety of tourist attractions would make the people of other continents envious.
Even Africa that is the second most visited continent by the tourists is 14 times smaller than Asia.
The tourist destinations the Asians are Proud of would include:
- World’s tallest mountain range
- Most beautiful hill stations
- Countless rainforests
- Big number of deciduous forests
- Thousands of wildlife sanctuaries
- Long coastlines dotted with stunning beaches
- Great number of water bodies such as lakes and waterfalls
- Floating resorts
- Snow-clad ski resorts
- Awesome palaces
- Hundreds of bird sanctuaries
- Temples of incredible architecture
Such a wide range of tourist destinations the Asians are Proud of their continent.
Here are the 10 Must-See Tourist Destinations the Asians are Proud Of.
1. Jaipur
The moment a tourist goes around the Pink City (Jaipur), he would vow to return again and again. The palaces built with pink sandstone will take your breath away.
Here are two examples.
The second image is of the world famous ‘Hawa Mahal’
Apart from these historic and beautiful palaces, stunning forts, Jaipur’s gourmet vegetarian food, colorful attire, mind-boggling handicrafts and a range of tourist attractions invite tourists from every part of the world.
Wildlife sanctuaries include a rare Leopard conservation project in Jaipur.
The Jal Mahal can be classified as a world wonder.
Above all of the Jaipur’s attraction, I would rate the ‘Step-Well’ as the number one tourist attraction.
Tell me frankly; can any other building on the Earth match this architecture?
2. Borobudur, Java, Indonesia
This is absolutely breathtaking-right?
Incredibly beautiful and the biggest temple dedicated Lord Buddha, the Borobudur built in the 9th century is located in Java Island, Indonesia. The nearest town is called Muntilan which must be your destination to stand in front of a mammoth monument in awe.
If you have the patience to count the Buddha statues in Borobudur, you will end up saying, “there are 504” Buddha statues in all.
Here is one view of the temple’s reliefs:
3. Bali, Indonesia
Bali is an island of Indonesia. I feel I am short of the words to express its beauty, the places to see in Bali as a tourist and dilemma as to how long should I extend my vacation in Bali. Fantastic beaches, dense and lush tropical Rainforests, hidden waterfalls, the range of Avifauna, unbelievably luxurious resorts and beachfront hotels, stunning volcanic mountains of which some are erupting, Hindu temples set amidst picturesque surroundings and the terraced rice fields are major sightseeing attractions in Bali.

As I mentioned, you would be compelled to extend your stay in Bali at least by a week.
4. Langkawi, Malaysia
Can you imagine what you are seeing on the image above is a group of 99 islands? Yeah, the Langkawi archipelago of Malaysia comprises 99 small islands clustered within a short distance of each other. Additionally, you will be to see 5 more islets when the tide is low. The Langkawi Islands are all located on the Andaman Sea, on the Northwestern part of Malaysia. The border of Thailand is not far away.

5. Paro Taktsang Monastery, Bhutan
My question and yours too would be; “Is there any manageable approach to this remote Buddhist monastery?”
The answer is certainly, ‘NO’ to the majority of us as it involves strenuous and knee-breaking climbing for several hours to reach the first building of Paro Taktsang Monastery in Bhutan.
The cliffs looking over the Paro Valley are rugged and not suitable for people above 40 years. Of course, the Buddhist monks are excluded as they seemed to be blessed to climb the steep cliff without a sweat.
6. Angkor Wat Temple complex, Cambodia
Did you notice the small water body (lotus pond) in front of the stunningly beautiful Angkor Wat temple complex? This serene place would become a beehive of activity early in the morning with tourists scrambling to find a vantage spot to see the sunrise from behind the temple.
The Angkor Wat sunrise is one of the most watched sunrises in the world. Certainly, a pride of Asia!
The huge Angkor Wat temple complex is built on a mammoth 163 hectares of land in Cambodia and thus is ranked as one of the largest religious monuments in the entire world.
Do you know that this beautiful temple was a Vishnu temple once? Yes, but now, this is a Buddhist temple.
7. The Great Wall of China
I don’t think it requires an introduction. The Great Wall of China, one of the original 7 wonders of the world, attracts millions of tourists every year. There is no season to walk on the 21, 000 + km length wall.
The most stunning fact of the Great China Wall is it was built in 220 B.C.!
The Great Wall of China starts at Shanhaiguan that is about 300 km away from China’s capital Beijing. The wall’s last point is the Bohai Sea. This place is also known as the Shanhai Pass.
Here it is, the end of the Great China Wall.
What a mammoth manmade tourist attraction in the world. This engineering feat is unrepeatable.
