Beautiful Places You Must See before You Die Plitvice Lakes

Though the image is sufficient for anyone to wish to see this one of the most visited world tourist attractions, I think the video below will urge procrastinators too to galvanize them into action by calling the flight ticketing agent.

It is certainly dreamy, existing in a totally different world where nature takes a permanent residence.

The proud country is Croatia and the place is called “Plitvice Lakes”.

Do you know that every year a million tourists come and see these 16 Plitvice lakes that exist side by side and are seemingly joined by several waterfalls that pour the purest water in the world?

You watched the video above. Do you think any other sound can be heard other than the sound water splashing on water?

Do you imagine you can have a feeling, “I have seen it all and I have had enough; let us go”? If I were, I would wish to stay for one full 24 hours on open ground, gazing at the scenery.

Once the Croatian Government converted the entire Plitvice Lakes region into a national park, it prompted a visit by the UNESCO also who took no time in declaring the site as a protected one.

Interesting facts about 16 Plitvice Lakes, Croatia:

This most beautiful tourist attraction in Croatia is surrounded by three mountains namely:

It’s salt, salt, and more salt, everywhere and as far as your eyes can reach the horizon. No, you can neither visualize and nor can traverse the length and breadth of this world’s largest salt field.

The area it comprises is a mammoth 10,600 sq, km! To see the Salar de Uyuni, you have to fly to Bolivia. If you search, there are a number of cheap flight booking websites on the web.

Once you reach Bolivia, you have to travel to its southwest and reach a height of over 11,000 feet!

Imagine a field of salt everywhere covering about 11k sq.km at an altitude of 11,000 feet! Certainly, it is a world’s bizarre sight but it is one of the world’s most visited tourist destinations.

Not surprisingly, this salt field’s origin could not be decisively construed. The geologists could only declare it is a natural process that must have started many thousand years ago. They point to the transformations between several prehistoric lakes.

Tourists get bored very quickly as soon as they have been at this salty site. I have news for them in the form of other attractions.

Fauna of Salar de Uyuni

It is a flamingo for sure but it’s color combination is rare white and pink. I think it is more beautiful than the flaming red flamingo that we have seen.

The picture speaks for itself as one of the world’s most beautiful places you must see before you die and certainly, a highly visited holiday destination mainly by the Europeans.

Italy has many such villages and small towns situated on tall rocky cliffs facing the Mediterranean Sea. I could recall Cinque Terre that looks similar to Positano. The Amalfi Coast is dotted with the most sea-facing mountainous towns. Their location is simply enviable.

However, I read the Governing authority in Arizona rations the visitors’ permit due to fear of disturbing and spoiling this astounding natural wonder.

This sandstone formation in the form of the undulating wave pattern is situated at a height of 5200 feet in the Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness mountains. As far as your eyes can reach, you will see nothing else but the wavy rock formation. I would say it is where nature worked incredible wonders. The  Coyote Buttes Wave is among America’s greatest tourist wonders.

You must be aware that another world wonder, the Grand Canyon too is also located in Arizona. Both the Grand Canyon and the Coyote Waves are on the Colorado Plateau are most beautiful places you must see before you die.

You must be wondering how the colored bands happened on the rock formation! These colorful ribbons are called Liesegang Bands.

They are caused by the manganese and iron content in the water table. Due to erosion and wind, these minerals are swept away in one direction and that movement caused the ribbon-like patterns.
