World Famous Tourist Attractions: Louvre Museum – Paris
Paris-almost 75% of the first-time foreign visitors’ holiday destination would be to land in Paris, the French capital. In Paris, the foremost point of interest would be to visit the Eiffel Tower as it is a prestigious landmark that one can boast of having visited and taken a photograph in front of it.
The next place of tourist attractions in Paris is a visit to the Louvre Museum. It is conveniently located in Paris city, on the bank of the romantic Seine River.
Look at the image of Louvre museum; isn’t that imposing and magnificent? Even a die-hard hater f museums like me would at least want to stand in front of this magnificent building and admire the architecture which is nothing short of awesome.
The exhibits of the Louvre Museum include:
- Various forms of fine art such as painting, drawing, and sculpture
- The world famous painting of Mona Lisa
- Winged Victory of Samothrace
- Michelangelo’s Dying Slave
- Great Sphinx of Tanis
The Louvre museum is the world’s most visited art museum and is open to the public from 9 am to 6 pm.
Warning: The queue to buy the entrance ticket to the Louvre Museum can be quite long but it is worth to entertain patience and buy the ticket. You won’t be disappointed.
Famous Tourist Attractions: Big Ben – London
There are only a very few well-known landmarks in London where you can take a selfie that would serve as a proof that you had been to London, once the seat of world power, long before America became one.
The Buckingham Palace, Thames river, the Westminster Abbey Museum, No:10 Downing Street, and the Big Ben are only the most famous tourist attractions in London. Taking photographs of you and your family in some of the above sightseeing landmarks in London may not be possible but the Big Ben is different. It’s a clock tower in the true sense; towering above the other iconic landmarks that include the palace. The Big Ben is now 151 years old.
Most Popular Tourist Attractions: Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco.
“Ah yes, I have seen it before in movies and other places” is what you just muttered-right? You would not have known most probably its name. It is the Golden Gate Bridge, one of the most famous bridges in the world and hence one of a popular tourist attractions.
This suspended bridge connects the Pacific Ocean and the San Francisco Bay. Underneath the Golden Gate Bridge flows the Golden Gate Strait. It is a favorite spot for filmmakers and advertisers. The superb and beautiful bridge is one of the American’s pride symbols.
Most Visited Famous Tourist Attractions: Stonehenge, UK.
That’s the Stonehenge’s photograph. I think the majority of the readers of this blog post would be disappointed seeing this included as one of the famous tourist attractions in the world. Nevertheless, it still attracts the majority of the first-time overseas visitors to the U.K. It is a must-see attraction that is located (Wiltshire ) about 140 km from the heart of London.
These rock pillars (short pillar-like structures) belong to the pre-historic area; the Neolithic era to be exact.
Even though the Stonehenge is not attractive to the majority of the people, it is still considered as a must-see place in England. Remember, there is nothing else in Stonehenge but these rock pillars; no rides or rollercoaster.
There is one solace though that I can suggest to the visitors of Stonehenge. If they are disappointed, then, they can visit the Salisbury Cathedral nearby.
The setting looks serene.

Famous Tourist Attractions in USA: Niagara Falls, New York
See, you can feel the power of water without touching it! It’s incredible and awesome. The majestic ‘Niagara falls’ in full flow is simply breathtaking and one of the world’s famous tourist attractions.
Not only the first-time foreign holiday visitors but it would attract everyone as many times as possible. You would never feel, “I have had enough of Niagara waterfalls”. The three Niagara waterfalls are fed by the River Niagara.

Next only to Paris, Rome is the most famous city in the world and a big favorite among travelers. There are several landmarks in Italy that a tourist would love to visit such as the Leaning Tower of Pisa, The Vatican, Venice-the city that floats, Florence, and Sicily. The Colosseum is one of the famous tourist attractions in Italy.
BTW, do you know how old is the Colosseum-the amphitheater (Open-air stadium for events and sports? It was supposed to have been built sometime during 72 BCE. OMG! Then, it is a must-visit place in Italy.
